What the data can and cannot say
SoundCloud's public API gives an app your profile, your likes, reposts, playlists and who you follow — with your permission. It does not give a play-by-play listening history, so real listening hours cannot be measured. CloudWrapped never turns a like into a play: on a connected account the recap is built from your real likes, reposts, playlists and follows, dated by when you added them, and the hours slide is replaced by an honest count of what you saved. The demo shows the full experience, listening hours included, with made-up sample data.
